Home Based Sales Business

Hey Gang,

I am sitting here in Hartsfield airport in Atlanta waiting for a flight to Tampa Bay thinking about how awesome it is to have a home based sales business of my own. Here is what I have realized over the years is that most people who are looking to work from home or at least have a business that is based out of their home, think that it is going to be easier than working from an office. They think that because now that they are their own boss that their time commitment will be less than a traditional job.

The truth is, until you get it off the ground and profitable, you are going to work your fanny off in your business. There is no free ride. Home based businesses are not get rich quick and do take time and effort to get going.

The thing that separates the successful home based business owner from the rest of the pack is their mindset, work ethic and the ability to stick it out until they succeed. You also need to learn the art of sales. I learned a long time ago that unless you learn to sell and become good in the sales arena, you will never aquire wealth. When I talk selling, I mean selling you!!

You need to think of yourself as the commodity. You are responsible for your wealth creation. So invest in you. Read books like "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill and "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Learn what it takes to win in your home based sales business.

Remember folks, you are in business, don't be afraid to invest. Its not an expense when you pay money to increase your value or but tools to help you in your business. Will you fail a little? Absolutely. Fail, adjust, move forward. Success is the progression of failure and don't ever forget that.
